RADM (Ret.) ZEEV ALMOG

Commander In Chief of the Israeli Navy and a General Manager of Israel Shipyards with more than thirty years of active service in the Israeli Navy, participating in five wars and hundreds of combat operations.

During his professional career in the Israeli Navy Zeev Almog was appointed on positions Commander of the Naval Commando Unit (“Flotilla 13”), Commander of the Red Sea Arena and Commander in Chief, ranked to two stars Rear Admiral. Some of the notorious milestones during his service as a head of the Israeli Navy are update of the naval strategy, design of future combat equipment, absorption of new vessels and systems, training re-organization. As a General Manager of the Israeli Shipyards, Zeev Almog succeeded in making the company profitable and thus saving it form bankruptcy. During his tenure two types of sophisticated vessels were developed.

Among his many awards is the Legion of Merit, presented in 1981 by United States Secretary of Defense. Currently, he is involved with voluntary public activities. He published several articles in Israeli and foreign publications on topics of military operations and management and had lectured at military academies and research centers in Israel and abroad about naval operations and technology.
