Academic Consultant for various business intelligences companies and NGOs; Provider of content solutions for Business Intelligence and software companies in fields of National and Global Security in Europe, Israel and the United States.
Her professional experience includes work as a Senior Cultural and Language Analyst at IntuView – a leading text analytics technology company for the National Security sector, where she led the design of the system from inception, was responsible for the main product analytics in the Arabic language and was engaged in various projects, such as marketing strategies in Israel and Europe, content solutions, R&D and more. Since 2003, she is working as a news commentator on Middle East and Islam affairs on various political programs and as a Consultant and Commentator on Arab Media and Middle Eastern affairs at the Israeli Broadcasting Authority Channel in Russian Language.
Dina Lisnyansky, PhD, is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Tel Aviv University, Executive MA Program, Department of Middle Eastern and African History and at the Ariel University of Samaria, Department of Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science. In 2018 she was a visiting Professor in Oxford University, St. John’s College. She was a Lecturer in Bar-Ilan University in MAOF program at the Department of Political Studies, teaching academic courses on Global Terrorism in Israel and Worldwide and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the European Forum, Faculty of Social Sciences, teaching academic courses on the topic of “From ISIS to conformity: European Muslims in search of identity”.
Dina Lisnyansky, PhD, holds a Master Degree in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies and a Bachelor Degree in Arabic Language and Literature and Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She is a PhD in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from the same university and has conducted a postdoctoral research fellowship on the topic of “New generation of preachers in Muslim communities in Europe” at the Department of Political Studies, Bar-Ilan University. Her second Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Haifa focuses on the “Islamic Da’wa in non-Muslim multicultural environment”.
Ms. Lisnyansky has taken part in many international conferences and events as a speaker on the topics of “Hamas and BDS movements in France and Italy”; “Immigration and Terrorism”; “The Strategic Alliance between Israel and Central Asian states: The case of Kazakhstan”; “Islam in Europe; Generator of Change in Islamic Thought in Europe: The Case of Yahya Palavicini”; “Jihad in Europe: Crisis of the Islamic Oumma.” and many others. She was invited as a speaker on the subject of “Strategies of defence of minorities in Europe” to The Vatican, the Italian Parliament, etc.
Dina Lisnyansky, PhD, has written a book “Crescents and Croissants: Preaching Islam in France and Italy” [Under Review. CUP] and has publications and articles in refereed journals: “From Daʻwa in Europe to European Daʻwa: Agents of Change in France and Britain.” JIMES November 2017; “Hassan al-Banna’s family: reincarnations of an ideological heritage” 2012; “Tashayu in Central Asia and Russia” (2009); “Jihad Strategies in Central Asia” (2008).
She is a native Hebrew and Russian speaker, with proficient use in English and Arabic, good use in French, Italian and reading in Farsi and Urdu.
